During my recent visit to the Faisan Hotel, nestled by the stunning L'Ain River, I found myself torn between luxury and value. The spacious room featured a vintage movie theme and was quite comfortable, with good heating and free Wi-Fi. Perfect for relaxation after a day of adventuring, the hotel boasted a lovely garden and a seasonal outdoor pool, though I didn’t get a chance to swim, given the weather. While the room was nice and clean, the bathroom left something to be desired, presented more like a space-age capsule than a relaxing retreat. Unfortunately, the staff service was hit or miss. I appreciated the young man who checked us in, but the senior member in the restaurant wasn’t as welcoming, impacting the overall experience. The restaurant served decent food, with highlights like steak and wild truffle sauce that felt worth the price. Dining at a hotel should typically come with a level of finesse that we didn’t quite get. On the whole, while the Faisan offers good value, particularly with amenities like free parking and proximity to nature, I would advise potential guests to manage their expectations regarding service.
